Rainbow Springs Kiwi Wildlife Park is a unique experience for anyone who wants to get to know New Zealand’s wonderful environment and animals, both during the day and at night. The park itself features many intimate venues that look especially magical at night.
Rainbow Springs is proud to present a brand new outdoor venue – The Waterfall Pool. The most outstanding feature is the breath-taking four metre waterfall flowing into the larger of the two pools. Other venues within the park include:
- The Kaiakuri Stream Bridge, situated above the Kaiakuri stream. Partially covered by a pergola, this venue is uniquely set amongst native fernery and shrubs
- The Pavilion on Fairy Spring Lawn, with a spring fed pool along side it and has wild water foul roaming around it like ducks, geese and chickens. Other wildlife in view of this area are wallabies, Ponui Island donkey, pheasants and rainbow lorakeets
- Several bird avairies are available to get in amongst the wildlife, including the kaka and weka habitats, perfect for breakfast or drinks, or as part as a progressive dinner around the park
- The Rainbow Balcony, overlooking the Rainbow Pool
All our special venues are outdoors so are weather dependant. We do however have small undercover areas and several locations suitable for marquees.
Also located on site at Rainbow Springs, Kiwi Encounter is a unique scientific attraction allowing you an insight into the entire process of kiwi conservation – from kiwi egg collection, incubation, hatching and then raising of the kiwi until it’s ready to be released. This is a unique and unusual activity available for pre/post conference and as part of a partner programme.
