Bugsy
They don't call me Bugsy for nothing ... I love bugs, any sort of bug will do for me. And although you people out there might think I'm a bit slow, thats all part of the plan. I'm into ambushing my dinner, none of this pop down the shops for me. I'm out there in the forests prowling around in the darkness (like that not-so-famous-as-me kiwi ... I mainly work at night).
So back to my plan, I sit still, real still cause these bugs might have mega eyes, but they mainly see movement and I sit and sit ... and well ... sit, and then pounce. And I'm good, of course, that's why I've been around for millions of years. I have this long tongue that I can fire out at my dinner, or lunch, or anytime really. If I see a grasshopper, beetle ... pretty much any other crawling invertebrate, or small birds even, although they're a bit harder to catch, and BAM ... kai time for Bugsy. I also have these cool teeth, way nicer than a hollywood movie star, mine are perfectly shaped for crushing bugs ... then again in some ways Bugsy is a little misleading as I can eat other lizards too, but Mainly-Bugsy is not as cool name.
Oh yeah, and I'll grab an egg for breakfast whenever I can as well, they're nice and tasty.
So anyway, some out there might think I'm weird but I don't really care, I can do some pretty cool stuff like hold my breath for nearly an hour, share burrows with birds (but we have been known to eat the bird if we get hungry, which is good for me, having a snack in the house ... but the birds don't seem to like it too much). We live for about 60 years, but can live for over 100 years. We can change colour over our life time, we also used to measure about 1 metre long thousands of years ago, but there aren't so many bugs around nowadays so we shrunk to about half that size (we're about 50cm long once we our reach our growth limit when we turn about 35 years old).
I also ditch my skin once a year, gets a bit itchy so I just get rid of it ...
So, keep your eye out for me throughout the site as I know a thing or two, way more than that bird-brain and that wet-fish, so don't listen to them. I've been around and get around ... so I'll pop up and tell you some mean as info throughout your travels ... catch ya ... maybe literally if you're the right size, watch out for my tongue ... hehe ...
