Bellbird
The famed New Zealand ‘dawn chorus’ would not be complete without the dulcet tones of the native bellbird.
Bellbirds are fairly common throughout both main islands of New Zealand and can be found in the native forest areas. They eat insects, honeydew and nectar but have to compete for their food with wasps.
