Discover New Zealand's wildlife story
Discover nature’s best with a guided tour. Included in your Park entry, our informative and entertaining tours take you on a journey of New Zealand’s native wildlife and unique flora and fauna.
Our passionate team will guide you through our lush nature park, introducing you to New Zealand’s most taonga (treasured) species and cultural stories, ending at our very own kiwi house.
You will meet endangered ducks (pateke and whio) and learn about how we are helping to conserve these taonga species.
Come face to face with New Zealand’s intelligent and inquisitive parrots, kea and kaka, and find out how much of an impact introduced predators have had on their populations in the wild.
The whole family will have fun at Reptile Rock trying to spot the cryptic species of geckos and skinks, whilst learning about our unique reptile found nowhere else in the world – the mighty tuatara.
