Conservation Week

Conservation Week is run by the Department of Conservation each year to encourage people to get involved in nature and take care of it.

In our backyard at Rainbow Springs, we have the unique opportunity to show manuhiri (visitors) how we protect our native wildlife and how we are getting involved to celebrate Conservation Week.

We are also celebrating Save Kiwi Month in October. We have hatched over 24 kiwi this season and even had six kiwi hatch in one day!

Check out Bloomers' Blog here. Not only is this little kiwi super cute but also has the unique markings that look like bloomers!
