#100 Hatches this season!

It's been very busy so far this season at Kiwi Encounter with 100 cute chicks hatching! We'll update you weekly on our new hatches!

Christmas Hatch

A Kiwi Christmas came true for our Kiwi Encounter team with Santa delivering not one, but two chicks. A competition was run on our Facebook page to name the Christmas hatch and the winning name was Anahera, which means Angel in Te Reo Māori!

Prime Minister visits Kiwi Encounter!

Prime Minister Bill English paid a visit to the park on March 24th 2017 to learn more about the park’s kiwi conservation work.

Kiwi Stud retires to the wild

A 30-year-old kiwi has said goodbye to his home at Rainbow Springs in Rotorua and been released into the wild for the first time.
